Tartan Window Cleaners Arrive in Victoria

Men In Kilts, a ‘full-service’ window cleaning, gutter cleaning and pressure washing company, officially announced their grand opening in Victoria, BC to huge fan fare.

Victoria’s launch follows the recent successful franchise opening in Calgary. Men In Kilts will be quickly expanding next into Edmonton, and is already providing service in Vancouver, Fraser Valley, and Seattle, WA.

The company was founded in 2002 by Nicholas Brand, with a squeegee and a hand-sewn kilt. The first Vancouver franchise opened its doors in 2010.

“Victoria was an obvious choice for our expansion,” says CEO Tressa Wood. “The local culture, and history, yield such a deep sense of pride for the heritage of the kilts. The addition of these latest franchises will make us Canada’s largest window cleaning company.”

Franchise owner Peter Waterfield will be servicing homes and businesses focused primarily from Sooke to Sydney.

“We’ve been very well received by Victoria residents,” says Waterfield. “Their overwhelming support has been amazing during opening month. We can barley keep up to the demand. Victoria has obviously been waiting for us!”

Men In Kilts is poised for fast expansion into all major cities in North America, including Toronto, San Francisco, LA, New Jersey and Denver. The company projects a 300 per cent increase in system-wide revenue in 2012.
