Franchise Advisory Council to Assemble, Vendor Buying Presentations Planned and CEO Bob Bloom to Speak at Welcome Dinner.
Starting today, the Snake River Lodge in Jackson Hole, Wyo., will play host to ColorTyme’s Franchise Summer Meeting. Franchisees from around the United States will gather to spend several days working with members of the ColorTyme corporate staff, collaborate with fellow franchisees and attend several vendor buying presentations.
“I enjoy getting together with the other franchisees and talking about best business practices – what’s working for them and what’s not working for them,” said Ray Bird, a ColorTyme franchise owner based in Rhode Island and member of the ColorTyme Franchise Advisory Council. “Some of my best promotions, and some of the best months I’ve ever had, were a direct result of conversations I’ve had with other franchisees at this meeting.” Related: Ray Bird ran a Free Heat Promotion in December, 2008 (see story).
In addition, members of the FAC will convene today to discuss current industry trends and business strategies. Each elected member of the council attends the meeting as the spokesperson for a group of ColorTyme franchisees.
“The FAC will meet to talk about the best ways to help our fellow franchisees and air any issues that need to be addressed,” said Bird. “The FAC has a tremendous impact and influence. In the past three to five years, many things the FAC has implemented have shown some very positive results.”
This evening, the Mangy Moose Restaurant & Saloon will host the ColorTyme Summer Meeting Welcome Dinner. The informal occasion invites attendees to a short talk from ColorTyme’s Chief Executive, Bob Bloom.
“I look forward to spending time with the lifeblood of this company – our franchise owners,” said Bloom. “Although we’re here in beautiful Jackson Hole, we have a lot of business to conduct over the next few days.”
Tomorrow, franchisees will attend a number of vendor buying presentations. This is an opportunity for franchisees to take advantage of low prices on select products and meet with vendor representatives, face-to-face.
ColorTyme, Inc., founded in 1979, is America’s oldest franchisor of independently owned-and-operated rent-to-own stores.
