New England Footwear Names New President

Portsmouth, N.H.-based New England Footwear, which is the parent company to footwear brands GoLite and Z7, announced on Monday that Scott Briggs has been named president, effective immediately.
Briggs, who has more than 25 year of experience in the footwear industry, will oversee the company's strategic planning initiatives, as well as all sales and marketing plans for both footwear brands.
He most recently served as COO of Geox USA and also spent time at Timberland Co. and Rockport.
"We are very excited to have Scott join the team as we move forward with the positioning and building of the GoLite and Z7 footwear franchises as innovative leaders in the market," Doug Clark, founder and CEO of New England Footwear, said in a statement. "Scott has demonstrated tremendous leadership skills at each of his previous positions, and we are looking forward to tapping into his knowledge and experience."
