Turn gently worn fall and winter children's clothes, toys and equipment into cash and find great deals on "new-to-you" items at the Just Between Friends (JBF) children and maternity consignment event at the West Chester Holiday Inn from September 19th to 20th.
Sisters Kelly and Kate Hardy are the co-owners of the West Chester/Media JBF franchise and organizers of the sale.  Kelly said that JBF is different from garage sales or online postings because shoppers will have a selection that can't be matched, and all items for sale will have passed an inspection from the JBF team to ensure quality.
To Consign:
1. Consignors must register, tag their own items and drop them off on September 17th from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. or September 18th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Consignors must follow the JBF tagging system.
2. Consignors make 65% of all sales (70% if they volunteer at the sale) minus a $10 consignment fee. All items not sold can be picked up on September 20th or consignors have the option to have all unsold items donated to charity.
3. Consignors will receive a lump sum check 14 days after the sale.
To Shop:
1.  JBF will have a pre-sale for its volunteers, consignors and first-time moms on September 18th. No children under 12 are allowed (except nursing infants).  Passes for the pre-sale must be picked up in advance.
2. The sale opens to the public on September 19th at 8 a.m. Kids are allowed to attend. On September 20th, most items will be marked down 50%.
3. There is a small fee to attend the sale, but shoppers can download and print a coupon from the JBF site, and enter for free.
Many more details plus the answers to any questions imaginable can be found on the JBF site.
Although this is the first sale for the West Chester area, JBF has a ten year history of success and has been featured on Inside Edition, ABC News and Good Morning America.
Michelle Cornwell of Newark Delaware is a mother to a 12 and 10 year-old and said she was recently surprised to find herself expecting a third child in January. She has participated in other JBF sales in the past and is thrilled the sale is coming to West Chester since she now is looking for a crib and changing table.
"The biggest thing about JBF is that they have quality stuff.  The sales are so well run, and they just don't let you sell crap," she explained.
