Vacationers and locals of Cancun can now enjoy franchise Johnny Rockets' all-American hamburgers, shakes and American Fries at the city's premier shopping center, Malecon Americas. Johnny Rockets' newest franchise Cancun location is the fourth restaurant opened in Mexico's easternmost island state, Quintana Roo. With miles of sandy beaches, entertainment, and nightlife, the world-renowned tourist destination is a perfect spot for the timeless fun of Johnny Rockets.

Johnny Rockets' franchise new 1,610-square-foot restaurant will provide unique menu options and entertainment for the entire family. To fit in with the vibe of the coastal community, guests can play their favorite tunes on the bubbler juke box and dance along to music videos on a plasma TV screen, which will also display menu items. The staff will also sing and do the signature Johnny Rockets dance every half-hour, twirl straws and make smiley faces of ketchup.

The full-service franchise restaurant will feature signature classics like American Fries and hand-dipped shakes, along with spicy favorites like chili nachos, the Tex Mex hamburger with guacamole and beans, and for dessert, an oversized banana split.

"Malecon Americas is a popular attraction among locals and tourists exploring Mexico's famous Yucatan Peninsula and a great place to enjoy Johnny Rockets favorites after a day of fun in the sun," said franchise owner Jose Antonio Taladrid. Johnny Rockets currently operates two other Cancun locations at the La Isla shopping village and the Cancun International Airport, with another restaurant just south of Cancun in Playa del Carmen on the Mayan Riviera. Since Johnny Rockets first opened in Mexico City in 1993, the international restaurant chain has continued to grow its presence in Mexico with locations in airports, coastal resort destinations, Six Flags theme parks, and new openings planned for 2010.
