Healthy Fast Food Q2 Revenue Increases By 234%

Launch of U-SWIRL frozen yogurt concept reportedly helped to increase revenues
Healthy Fast Food, the owner and franchisor of U-SWIRL Frozen Yogurt, has reported total revenues of $574,000 for three months period which ended on June 30, 2009. Revenue increased by 234% to $574,000 from $172,000 for the same period previous year. For the six month period total revenue is $834,000 - an increase by 123% from $374000 for the same period prior year.
On a consolidated basis, loss from operations was $208,000 for Q2 2009, down 13% from 238,000, same period previous year. Net loss was $205,000, or $0.08 per basic and diluted share, dropping 5% from $216,000 or $0.10 per basic and diluted share from Q2 2008.
For the six months period net sales generated by the company's new wholly-owned subsidiary, U-SWIRL International, operating income totaled $395,000, up from $0. The company has launched its new U-SWIRL operations in 2009 with the opening of its first two company-owned stores in the Las Vegas valley. Net sales posted by the company's former EVOS franchise operations increased 17% to $439,000 from $374,000.
For six-month period, the operating loss reported for EVOS increased to $154,000, up from $84,000, from the same period, last year. Net loss increased to $553,000, or $0.22 per basic and diluted share, from $497,000, or $0.23 per basic and diluted share.
