The new site is located on Old Geelong Road, within the fastest growing corridors of the western suburbs of Melbourne. Latte Cartelle director Linda Tsiokas said that the site was selected based on excellent traffic flow, population and demographic profile.
"The franchise model really suits this type of coffee retail business" Tsiokas said. "We receive strong community commitment and customer loyalty. Once you get your customers into the drive-thru they remain with you for as long as they drink coffee.... usually the rest of their lives.

"Our systems are easy to operate and business can be run under management. There is nothing to negotiate as we have established suppliers providing quality product at very low prices".

The menu offers all types of espresso coffee from a large latte to a macchiato with additions for the hot summer months such as frappes, milkshakes and fruit smoothies. Muffins, cakes, slices and toasted paninis are also served.

Latte Cartelle was established in 2003 by sisters Allison Pickett and Linda Tsiokas operating from the Elsternwick Hotel drive-thru. A second site was opened in 2005 on the Princes Highway in Hallam.  The opening of the Hoppers Crossing store marks the launch of the franchise expansion throughout Victoria with other states soon to follow.
