Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group to Hire 19 Information Technology Positions

(NYSE: DTG: 16.88, 0.26, 1.56%) today announced that it is hiring 19 key information technology (IT) management positions. The positions are part of an effort to strengthen Dollar Thrifty's internal management team responsible for Applications Development.

"We have seen the need for more management oversight over critical functions in the Applications Development area," said Rick Morris, Chief Information Officer. "These are applications that are vital to the health and well-being of Dollar Thrifty, and we look forward to bringing in new expertise to oversee these critical functions."

The positions - and the number available - are as follows:

   -- Data Systems Analyst (1)
   -- Deployment Lead (1)
   -- Domain Application Lead (3)
   -- Service Delivery Director (2)
   -- Senior Program Manager (2)
   -- Senior Project Manager (3)
   -- Technical Lead (5)
   -- Test Lead (1)

The plan is to have these management positions hired and in place by Sept. 1, 2009.

Job Fair

A Job Fair is scheduled for Monday, August 3, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. to take place at Dollar Thrifty Headquarters, 5310 E. 31st Street, Tulsa, OK 74135 on the 1st Floor/lobby level. Management representatives from the Information Technology team will be available in person to discuss the positions with qualified candidates. There is no need to make an appointment in advance for the Job Fair.
