Del Taco, a Mexican fast-food restaurant chain, said that its franchise Floridel has opened a new restaurant in Orlando, located close to the University of Central Florida. Floridel opened the state's first Del Taco, located in Oviedo, last April.

Steve Ruff, president of Floridel, Said: "We think there's a strong market for Del Taco's great tasting food in the greater Orlando area. We found Del Taco to be better and different from anything else out there and we think lovers of fast-food, especially the Mexican variety, will agree."

The restaurant's menu includes Mexican offerings of tacos, burritos, quesadillas and nachos, and also items like hamburgers, fries and milk shakes. It claims that each item is made to order with ingredients including lard-free beans made from scratch daily, cheddar cheese grated on site, grilled chicken, hand-made salsa and fresh produce.

The standard menu of Del Taco includes Hard Shell Tacos, Soft Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, Nachos, Jalapeño Rings, Deluxe Taco Salad, Crinkle Cut French Fries, Chili Cheddar Fries, Double Del Cheeseburger, Bacon Double Del Cheeseburger, Triple Del Cheeseburger, Shakes, and at least four types of Breakfast Burritos.

Del Taco is led by Shirlene Lopez, the chain's president, and is headquartered in the city of Lake Forest, California. The chain operates or franchises around 515 restaurants in 18 states.
